Our company Giloy & Söhne is an established name in the European diamond jewelry market. This is due on the one hand to the outstanding qualifications of our employees and on the other hand to our high standards for the precious material, its processing and design. After all, our name stands for the outstanding quality of our jewelry.
Our manufactory in Idar-Oberstein brings together what belongs together: precious metal and diamond. Care and precision play a special role in this fusion – after all, around 400 hours of manual work go into every single creation.
We currently employ around 300 people in our modern production facility in Idar-Oberstein, making us one of the largest employers in the area. The entire manufacturing process for our jewelry takes place under one roof. This gives us control over the quality of the stones, their cut and the quality of their processing right through to the finished piece of jewelry. Our sustainable products are created here under fair working conditions.
Our understanding of sustainability covers a broad spectrum. This includes the careful use of precious resources – which is why recycled gold is used in the manufacture of our jewelry. However, sustainability is not only important to us when it comes to the choice of raw materials, but also with regard to our location: a photovoltaic system currently covers around a third of our electricity requirements. And our understanding also extends to the qualifications of our employees: we invest in training so that we can continue to offer you our creations in the best quality in the future. Our company provides training in professions such as goldsmith and gem setter as well as in the commercial sector.
